We donated £5000 for the 90th birthday of The Duke of Edinburgh

On the 10th June we had Caroline Ross and Jacqui Larcombe visit us from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award. We presented to them a donation of £5,000 on the 90th birthday of The Duke of Edinburgh. Besides the ceremonial reception we also had time to discuss more opportunities of our future collaboration.

Afterall, It's not all about us......

BOOK RELEASE! - How They Blew It

In July this year, Jamie Oliver (journalist) & Tony Goodwin are releasing a book titled "How They Blew It". In candid detail, Kogan Page is about to publish an eye-popping tale of entrepreneurs and business leaders who went from a position of complete strength to relative weakness. This isn’t a turgid, forensic examination of the rights and wrongs of each case, it seeks to get into the minds of the people behind the business calamities and ask ‘Why the hell did they do that?’

Ever wondered what went on behind the scenes of the Lehman fiasco?

Horrified and intrigued by the tragic tale of Christopher Foster?

Did the story of the WorldCom decline capture your imagination?

So what does this mean to the Antal Charitable Foundation? Tony Goodwin has pledged that 50% of all his royalties from the book sales will be donated to the ACF so that we can continue to support great causes such as the Duke of Edinbourough, Chance UK and Smiling Children. Please keep in touch to keep updated. We look forward to exciting news.

6th Antal Global Snapshot Donates €3k to the ACF!
Global-Snapshot6Antal International Limited launched it's 6th quarterly global snapshot of the recruitment market. The Antal International ‘Global Snapshot’ is a regular survey of hiring (and firing) trends in some of the world’s most important employment markets and in those likely to join this group over the coming decade. This sixth report in the series is based upon material sourced from over 9600 businesses in commerce, industry and the financial services sector in 55 key countries on five continents.

For every electronic survey completed, Antal International donated €1 to the Antal Charitable Foundation. At the cut off date, 2911 electronic surveys had been completed. Once rounded up this means that €3,000 (£2,500) was donated.

Tha Antal Charitable Foundation wishes to thank everyone that took part and help contribute to this donation. The cash will be used to help other charities focused on improving the lives of many children. This will make a positive difference. Thank you all.

!! ACF commits support to D of E and Chance UK !!

Earlier this year, the trustees of the Antal Charitable Foundation decided to focus its support to 2 main UK children and young people's charities. The purpose of dedicating our resources like this is to provide us with focus and direction. Several charities were met to see which ones could benefit the most from our input and that gave the greatest benefit back to children in a way that followed our own ideas.

http://www.dofe.org/We are proud to support The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Many thousands of young people in the UK today are failing to achieve their potential, held back by lack of opportunity, disability, exclusion, low expectations or a lack of confidence.  Youth charity The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award inspires over 275,000 young people per year to develop skills, fitness, compassion and initiative, and gives young people of every background the opportunity to succeed.   It relies on donations and needs to raise over £100,000 per week to continue its vital work.

What we really liked about them was that the awards given to the young people completing the various stages hold equal value no matter what they had to do to earn it. With the variety of skills and abilities between the young people, this was a very significant deciding factor. The D of E award is also now becoming more and more popular with UK employers as a positive item to include on a CV.

http://www.chanceuk.com/We also proudly support Chance UK. Chance UK provides one to one mentoring to Children with behavioural difficulties. Many of the children are almost at the point of being rejected from schools. They believe that by breaking the cycle of bad behaviour at an early age means that they are less likely to cause trouble later in life.

The ACF is very much looking forward to a positive year with these two great causes. For more information on the work that they do, please follow the links below;
